This is big, people! I first saw Kim McLean’s Lollypop Trees quilt over at Material Obsession’s blog (see, AGAIN with the fun)–you’ll need to go to the “Fresh Ideas” archive to a June 7, 2007 post. This quilt, it’s a swooner. So, just after I posted the latest houses, I wandered, as I am wont to do on occasion, ahem, to Glorious Patchwork to look for some mossy stones fabric for possible sashing between the houses. When what to my wondering eyes should appear but a PATTERN for sale for the swoonworthy Lollypop Trees quilt?!?! !!! Sign me up, where do I pay my money?

If you love The Kaffe, just take a gander. I challenge you not to swoon!

Now, we just need to work on Liza to get us Kim McLean’s pattern for the birds and flowers and pots quilt shown at the end of this post. You know, so I can really fall apart.

  1. Surprisingly, because I really love Kaffe’s stuff, the lollipop quilt leaves me cold.

It is a really pretty quilt, but looks like WAY more work than I would be up to! Make sure to post pictures while you make it so we can live vicariously though you!

I so want this lollipop trees pattern but can’t get it in the UK. Will have to hunt around when I go to Orland shortly.
