From little things

You have heard, haven’t you? I heard the champagne corks popping a hemisphere away. Sarah’s new fabric collection from Lecien, From Little Things, arrived at her house recently. It will debut at fall quilt market and be available in stores in by late winter/early spring 2011. It’s gorgeous and fun and fresh and whimsical and pretty and dotty and stripe-y and birdy and flower-y — you know, all of those things we love. Well, say, you can WIN some of it before it even hits the wholesale market aisles in Houston. Go on over now and get yourself entered!

Congrats, Miss Sarah — From Little Things is divine!

Don’t mind me, just drooling over fabric on the screen and plotting and scheming over here.  heh heh heh

Also a little bit of sewing this week.

I’m making Rachel Griffith’s Coin Collecting quilt from the July/August Quiltmaker mag.

Oh dear, you should really clickety-click over to Rachel’s blog and see her latest outstanding creation. Much cuter than ANY quilt, I must say.

And I’m finally starting a little Halloween project…barely scratched the surface here but something done is better than nothing done…

This one will be owl-involved also. Shhhh, I can’t say that too loud in this house. The owl obsessed might hear me…

Speaking of obsessed, I made two more lemon ginger peach cakes today. And obsessively listened to the Avett Brothers while making them. Hmm, I guess the obsessed apple doesn’t fall far from the obsessed tree.

Enjoy the weekend!
