About: Fabric? What fabric?

The stash over-runneth (see the subtle difference between that and “runneth over”). More quilt plans than time. I heart machine quilting. I drive a Bernina while constantly listening to NPR. Is it possible to have “driveway moments” in your sewing room?

Mrs. Schmenkmans (-men?) always come in pairs.

Hmmmmm! I used to work in a fabric shop, love NPR…. nope don’t have a Bernina… bye the bye… what exactly is the tool (machine type to hook up to your Bernina… and have you figured it out yet?) for… what does it do? I was thinking it was a ruffler… but no I’m thinking no now.

Insert small world cliche here: I work at my local quilt shop and I heart NPR and am learning to heart free motion machine quilting. I just discovered your blog and am loving it and you.

I love love love the new photo you posted on Flickr of the Amy Butler log-cabin-ish/Midwest Modern quilt. It’s gorgeous. You showed a few blocks several posts ago, but this is the full quilt. I have the entire collection of Midwest Modern so I think I need to make that quilt. Can you tell me which pattern you used?

    Many thanks,

Hi, I love your blog and quilts. I also do a little work in my local fabric shop; LOVE my old Bernina but as an Aussie I’m not sure what NPR is. I do love dogs though! If you are happy to give me your email address I could send you the picture of the original Marti Mitchell hexagon/ Kaffe quilt. Kathy -Piece Play -Flikr

I’m a Bernina Girl too. And, though I don’t work in a quilt shop, I’m working on my etsy site to have my own personal quilt shop. I love NPR and have been listening since I was 18 (and, no way am I saying my age, let’s just say, it’s been a LONG time…).

I drive a Janome (do I need to say that quietly) and buy more fabric than I sew. Have just rediscovered this blog. Having a bit of fun trawling about. πŸ™‚

Oh, and this Aussie DOES know what NPR is – and listens often. We get it on “our ABC” here. LOL
